Starting at 9:00 AM, members gathered in the Texas State Capitol Auditorium, where they heard from community leaders, participated in legislative meetings, and made their voices heard on the issues that matter most to Texas families. This year’s message was clear and urgent: “Enough is Enough.”

With an unwavering focus on education, the LSSQ called on legislators for:

● A statewide teacher pay raise

● Full funding for Texas public schools—now

● An end to school voucher programs

Fraternity members emphasized that the future of Texas depends on meaningful investment in education and equitable policy decisions that support students, teachers, and communities—especially those historically underserved. Wearing purple and gold, LSSQ members stood in solidarity as they walked the Capitol halls, visited legislative offices, and shared personal stories and data in support of stronger public education funding. The event also created opportunities for younger members and community partners to observe advocacy in action and see firsthand how change is made at the state level.

The mission of the Lone Star State Ques is to promote excellence in character, academic

achievement, and community service across Texas. By offering mentorship, leadership

development, and outreach initiatives, the fraternity fosters strong, ethical leaders who are

deeply committed to serving both their communities and the broader society. Omega Day at the Capitol exemplified this mission, offering members an active role in shaping policy and creating sustainable change.

The name “Lone Star State Ques” speaks not only to the fraternity’s presence in Texas but also to its connection to the state’s independent spirit and enduring legacy. Through events like this, the LSSQ continues to leave a mark on Texas history—building a legacy of service, advocacy, and community leadership that will impact generations to come.
